Dr. Mooney founded Ames Therapy & Consulting in 2011, bringing with her extensive experience and a wealth of knowledge in the mental health field. As a part-time consultant and counselor, she has amassed over 25 years of experience in evaluating and treating individuals with mental health and medical disorders. Since its inception, Ames Therapy has expanded over the state of Iowa serving urban and rural counties.

With a Masters and Doctorate of Philosophy specializing in Counseling Psychology, Dr. Mooney has made significant contributions to the field. She previously served as a Program Director/Chair of a University's Counseling Program, Associate Professor and Core Faculty of Counseling Education. Dr. Augspurger has over 33 years experience in psychiatry evaluating and treating children, adolescents and adults in outpatient, inpatient and residential settings. He will be doing Medical Psychiatric Examinations as part of a comprehensive independent mental health evaluation package in conjunction with Dr. Mooney, additionally offering his expertise in providing psychopharmacologic evaluations/recommendations specific to the client's individual needs for PCP's or Occupational or Pain Physician. Richard Stapleton is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with extensive experience in the mental health counseling field. He is an Approved Clinical Supervisor, a National Certified Counselor, a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, and a Board Certified Telemental Health provider. Stapleton received his EdD in Counselor Education and Supervision from Argosy University in 2012. He holds a Master of Public Health from the Medical College of Wisconsin and Doctor of Medicine from Indiana University, School of Medicine.
